During our first day of filming, it was honestly more stressful than I expected, but it was also when everything finally felt real. Even though we tried our best to plan out our shots and scenes ahead of time, the actually filming showed how different things look on camera compared to how they look in your head. We had to stop a bunch of times in order to adjust angles, lighting, and where actors were standing.
We didn’t film much this day, although it taught me that during production you have to remember to stay patient and be ready to improvise while recording. Nothing went perfectly, but each mistake helped us improve for the next take. By the end of the day, our main character was more comfortable on set, and the scenes started to feel more naturally or realistic.
